NEWS: Nitro Release Quiver Series

Nitro Snowboards have released an exciting new series called the Quiver, promoting the regular use of more than one board. Nitro International Pro-riders Bryan Fox and Austin Smith explain the concept behind the series.

Bryan: I grew up surfing and the idea of a quiver is extremely common. Waves are different everyday and the board you ride completely changes the experience in the water. Same goes for snowboarding, I like to have a couple different boards each year to travel with. A short, soft, flat park/rail board to go mess around with at the resort or in the city. A somewhat stiffer, longer powder/jump board to take into the backcountry and haul ass. A short, wide, maneuverable powder ripper to take out on deep days to wiggle through the trees and get wild in the pow. I am very stoked Nitro has gotten behind the idea of building a quiver. The graphics are surf inspired as well, classic and simple enough that they won’t become dated. Hope you enjoy them.”

INTRODUCING THE EAGER BEAVER SYDNEY RAIL JAM

The event will celebrate the 2013 snow season by showcasing Australia’s best snowboarding talent hand picked by industry insiders. They will be shredding for a $5,000 cash purse, fame, glory and fun in front of the live audience. The feature, which will be located in the courtyard of the Hotel Steyne, will feature Thredbo’s new rails on a custom built set-up produced by PowderPak Oz.
