Jeremy Richardson – Oi Mate Ep 01 – Early Season

SHARE:

Aussiesnowboard got the chance to catch up with Ollipops Jeremy Richardson for some Questions about his new Boardworld series – Oi Mate.

How did “oi mate” start, and what is it all about?

Oi Mate I guess came about as things were winding down overseas. Boardworld along with 3CS Outerwear supported a series over there ‘WHEN IN WHISTLER’ and we wanted to put another series together back home in Aus and showcase the shred that goes on at the local resorts. It’s about boarding of course! And about good times, good music and good shred all done with the Aussie crew that travel back and forth overseas and home in the search for some good old fashioned boardin!

.

How is it, travelling around to all the Aussie resorts and getting to film with the best Aussie Riders?

It’s pretty sweet hey. Boardworld hooked me up with a van so I’ve finally got some wheels, baller rims coming soon they promise. (Blatent shout out to Jeremy at Boardworld, he’s the man behind it all and keeps killing it on my behalf!) But yeah it’s pretty neat and so far there’s been a Falls trip, a weekend just this last weekend at Charlottes (mainly shooting for the Dew Battle) and this week we head back to vic to that small but epic little resort called Mt Baw Baw for the Forum Battle Rail Jam thats on down there this weekend. It’s a super rad gig and the guys there put on pretty much the funnest comp going on in Aus these days, SO BE THERE! yew!
.

What are the future plans for oi Mate?

Baw Baw, another Falls mission, film pow and booters whenever the snow falls again and just have a rad time shooting with a solid bunch of crew! We’ve got some photoshoots and pow coming in the next edits hey so we’re looking forward to that!
